About this activity

This 7-day, 6-night package is the most complete of the Cusco–Machu Picchu itineraries: on top of the city tour, the Sacred Valley, and the Inca citadel, it adds a full day at Maras-Moray-Salineras, a full day at Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca), and another at Humantay Lake — all without a multi-day camping trek.

It combines the same base as the 4- and 5-day packages and adds two of the region’s most sought-after day hikes — Vinicunca and Humantay — without ever sleeping in a tent during the trip.

Itinerary

Day 1

Airport Pickup – Cusco City Tour

Qorikancha, Sacsayhuaman, Q'enqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay. Ends approx. 7:00 pm.

Day 2

Sacred Valley – Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu)

Pisac (breakfast), Urubamba (buffet lunch), Ollantaytambo (1h guided visit). Train to Aguas Calientes.

Day 3

Machu Picchu

Bus up to the citadel. 2h30 guided excursion. Lunch in Aguas Calientes. Return train to Cusco.

Day 4

Maras, Moray, and Salineras

Chinchero, the Salineras de Maras (3,000+ salt pools), Moray (circular terraces up to 30 m deep, 15°C temperature difference). Return approx. 2:00 pm.

Day 5

Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca)

Departure 4:00–4:30 am. Breakfast in Cusipata. 1h50 hike from Wasipata to Vinicunca (5,080 m). Buffet lunch in Cusipata. Return approx. 5:00 pm.

Day 6

Humantay Lake

Private trip (~3h) to Mollepata (breakfast) and Soraypampa (3,850 m). 1.5h hike to Humantay Lake (4,200 m). Descent, lunch in Mollepata. Return to Cusco approx. 4:30 pm.

Day 7

Cusco – Farewell

Free morning. Airport transfer in the afternoon for your departure flight.

Do we camp at any point?

No — the only night outside Cusco is in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo); the rest of the trip is based in Cusco with same-day round-trip excursions.
