About this activity

Qeswachaka is the last Inca suspension bridge built entirely from woven plant fiber, strung 15 meters above the Apurimac River and measuring 28.67 meters long. This full-day tour visits it along a little-traveled route through Cusco’s South Valley, with stops at viewpoints overlooking Andean lakes.

Unlike the better-known Sacred Valley circuits, this route heads through Cusco’s South Valley toward the Apurimac River, home to one of the last living examples of Inca plant-fiber engineering: the Qeswachaka bridge, once part of the extensive Qhapaq Nan road network (the Inca Royal Road).

It’s a little-known route, ideal for travelers who have already seen Cusco’s most-visited sites and are looking for a different kind of experience.
